Core 3.2.2 and TLC SXL 1.2.1 Released
The RSMP core specification 3.2.2 and Signal Exchange List 1.2.1 (SXL) for Traffic Light Controller has been released.
RSMP 3.2.2
RSMP 3.2.2 can be viewed online and is available as PDF.
RSMP 3.2.2 is a minor update from RSMP 3.2.1 which was released last year.
The version history is included in the specification, but the important changes are:
- Clarify use of TLS 1.3 for encrypted communication
- Reset timer for updateRate when sendOnChange is triggered
- Use the term “status”/”command” instead of “object”
- Clarify that every message should have a unique GUID
- Clarify description of unimplemented status/commands
- Clarify that all commands arguments need to be present
- Update section about SXL
- Clarify transport section
- Clarify communication establishment between sites
- Update tables to include SXL/site configuration in YAML format
- Clarify that alarm priority affects state bits 3, 4 and 5
- Clarify the error case when object type doesn’t match the signal

Signal Exchange list 1.2.1 for Traffic light controllers
The SXL for Traffic light controllers 1.2.1 can be viewed online and is available as PDF.
The version history is included in the document, but the important changes are:
- Add “start-up interval” to the definitions
- Clarification of string format in S0002, S0003, S0004, S0012, S0029, S0030
- Clarification of M0001 (normal/yellow flash/dark mode)
- Clarification of S0020 (control mode)
- Deprecation of M0004 (restart)
